Tasting notes

This elegant Mencia has a deep, bright garnet color. Aromas of blackberry and plum, with vanilla and spices. Deep and dry in the mouth, with medium plus acidity, round tannins, integrated wood and a hypnotic intensity and finish. The body is dense with lingering notes of thyme, mint, black pepper, cocoa and coffee. The subtle, yet prominent tannins in Mencia make this a great pairing with cured or grilled red meat. Also great with hearty vegetable dishes and mushroom risotto.
